When I first committed to putting this summit together, I was really unaware of the challenges that lay before me. I only knew that I had a strong passion to support people in becoming well.
I knew from my own journey into a raw foods lifestyle, that as I am healing my body, I am also healing my relationship with the world.
I feel that being in gratitude for foods that can replenish and heal us, can also lead to conscious decisions to make this world a better place, even if that is merely by planting a head of lettuce or maybe even a fruit tree.
As I was researching raw foods experts in order to determine who I wanted to ask to join the summit, I was learning so much about the raw foods community, and I was falling in love with all these amazing people out there who were shining with support for all those who want to be a part of the healing, loving, raw food community.
Then when I reached out to some of these experts and I got these wonderfully positive responses back from some of these outstanding leaders in the raw food community, I saw that they were just overall amazing people.
I remember getting so hyped up about who these people are and the outstanding differences they have already made in this world. I got so choked up and nervous during the interviews that I thought I would surely die!
Then I remembered, “Oh yeah, I am not doing this for me, I am doing it for the sake of my fellow human beings on this planet and even the planet itself.” I then became so motivated to get past my fears and insecurities that I was able to align with my vision and relax during the interviews.
Only then was I really able to focus my questions to the interviewee and reveal the real information that I wanted to get from the experts to you the listeners.
It was a huge learning curve and there is still much more to learn.
The take home message from all of this, is that if we want to grow, if we want more out of life, if we want to challenge ourselves, then we must push through our resistance, forget our looking good conversations and just give from the bottoms of our hearts, because that is where the real message is. So, baby steps to success.
