Superfoods

Why Superfoods?

Superfoods are those edibles which are found in nature and are a superior source of essential nutrients. These foods are packed with enzymes and essential nutrients which our bodies need and can’t make on their own. I personally believe that any food grown in a backyard garden in healthy, organic soil, free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers and eaten within 24 to 36 hours after being harvested is a “Super” food.  David Wolfe clearly states his case for Superfoods in his book Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future.

Superfoods are the most powerful, nutrient-dense foods on the planet and have less calories, and no known bad fats or harmful substances. Superfoods are the best source of concentrated nutrients for supporting optimum health.
