Health Tip of the Day!
Eating Your Salad First
Salad is packed with enzymes that support your digestive system to assimilate the nutrient content of the meal being eaten. Salad and the vegetables in it are nutritious and low in calories. For example, lettuce and cucumbers are high in water content and will support your stomach to feel full so that you eat less of high calorie foods. When you eat more fruits and vegetables in your meals, you add flavor and cut fat and carbohydrates dramatically. Salad takes longer to eat if you chew properly, so you feel like you have had a great meal after your entree is finished.
